python-hl7 software package provides Python library for parsing HL7 messages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-hl7
python-hl7 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-hl7 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-hl7 *
You will get with python-hl7 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
